Commuters are warned of long delays this morning after a section on the M20 was closed.

A lane of the London bound carriageway was shut between junction 2 at Wrotham and junction 3 for the M25 at 7.20am.

It follows an accident on the road and a fuel spillage.

It was reported a silver Volkswagen Golf collided with a silver Toyota Yaris between junction 2 and 1.

Minor injuries were reported.

Lanes one and two were reopened shortly before 8am, while lane three remained closed until after 8.30am.

There are also delays coast bound at junction 7 for Maidstone, due to another accident.

A lane is closed on the exit slip road and slow traffic is reported.
