M20 traffic queues following accident between Junction 3 (M26) and 4 (Larkfield)

A crash on the coast-bound M20 has now been cleared, The Highways Agency has advised, but drivers are continuing to suffer delays heading into Kent.

The incident between Junctions 3 (M26) and Junction 4 (Larkfield) was reported around 4.30pm and caused extensive tailbacks on the eastbound carriageway.

The Highways Agency had urging motorists to approach the area between Addington and Ryarsh with caution after closing two lanes following a reported collision.

It is not known if there are any casualties.

The Highways Agency said the scene had been cleared, but delays remained.
