Emergency crews called to 'medical incident' near River Medway in Snodland

Emergency services descended on Snodland in response to a medical incident.

Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called out at around 12.25pm amid concerns for a man's welfare on the banks of the River Medway.

A police spokesman said: "Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and a man was taken to a local hospital for medical attention."

Other reports online had suggested the man had become stuck in the mud.
