Police descended on Paddock Wood last night after violence erupted in the town.
Officers were first called at 5.20pm after a fight kicked off between a group of people and a man in the Maidstone Road car park, next to Bells Fish Bar.
Then, just before 8pm, a second altercation took place in Mascalls Court Road, which is believed to have involved the same people.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "The victim was later identified and located by police and is safe and well. He is believed to be known to the suspects. Inquiries are ongoing."
Part of the car park was cordoned off until around 10pm while inquiries were carried out.
No one has been arrested.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 14-1065. Alternatively contact Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
