Thieves stole a gold watch worth £6,000 during a break-in.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the burglary in Bredhurst Road, Wigmore, in which a number of high-value items of jewellery were taken.

Officers were called to the home shortly after 9.40pm on Sunday, April 7 after a gold Omega watch worth about £6,000, a white gold diamond cross and a ladies Accurist watch along with other items were taken.

Entry was gained through a rear patio door which was smashed and the jewellery was taken from a bedroom.

DC Sasha Monck who is investigating the incident, said: “I would urge anyone that is offered any high value jewellery items to come forward and let us know.

“If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.”
