A man is to stand trial after denying conspiracy to burgle and kidnapping charges when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court this week.

Tajudeen “Squilla” Durosinimi-Etti, of Cambria Avenue, Rochester, is accused of burgling a house in Shipwrights Avenue, Chatham, with others on February 1 and stealing £70,000 worth of jewellery.

The 28-year-old is also alleged to have kidnapped Sandip Madan on the same date.

Judge Charles Macdonald QC set the trial date for August 5. Durosinimi-Etti was remanded in custody.
