Armed police called to Chatham after reports of man carrying weapon

A teenager has been arrested after armed police were called following reports of a man possessing a weapon.

Officers were called at 5.26pm on Wednesday to Luton Road, Chatham, where armed police attended as a precaution.

A 16-year-old boy from Gillingham was arrested in Northumberland Avenue, Rainham, in connection with the incident.
