Detectives hunt armed robber after raid at Co-op store in Gillingham Road, Gillingham

A gunman is being hunted by police after going to a store armed with a weapon and demanding cash.

Detectives investigating the armed robbery at the Co-op store in Gillingham Road, are appealing for witnesses.

It is said to have occurred at about 7.45pm on Saturday, but police have not yet arrested anyone.

Officers say a man went into the store with a firearm, but have not said how much cash, if any, he got away with.

No description of the robber has been issued and police did not say if anyone was injured during the raid.
