Colin Page Sayer, 47, admits assaulting cyclist in Dock Road, Chatham

A homeless man has admitted assaulting a cyclist in Chatham, which caused him to fall into the path of an oncoming car.

Police were called to Dock Road, Chatham, just after 2pm on Saturday, to reports a cyclist had been attacked.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.

Colin Page Sayer, 47, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to assault at Medway Magistrates Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court for sentencing.

A date has not yet been set.
