Chatham man arrested by Kent Police after reports of a man with a gun which turned out to be a catapult

A man has been arrested after police were called to reports of a group of men with a gun in Chatham.

Officers were called to Silverweed Road, Walderslade, just after 7.30pm last night.

They did not find a firearm but a catapult was recovered from the scene.

Police were unable to give more details at this stage.
