The body of a woman has been discovered by police in a town centre property.

She was found by officers in a building in Parrs Head Mews off Corporation Street, Rochester, just after 11am today.

The death was initially treated as unexplained and officers remain at the scene for several hours conducting enquiries.

However, officers have now confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.

The woman has not been named.
