A boy has been treated by paramedics after he was hit by a car.
The boy, believed to be around nine years old, was crossing Watling Street, Chatham when he was hit just after 3pm.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene, near to Kwik Fit, but the extent of the boy's injuries is not yet known.
One witness, who did not wish to be named, said: "It looked like he was running across the road to get to his friends on the other side, and that's when he was hit.
"Luckily the car was not moving very fast.
"He has been put in a neck brace and into the ambulance.
"All the other cars on the road stopped and everyone was trying to help."
