Association of Optometrists calls on driving authorities to bring in compulsory eye tests

A group of opticians has called on driving authorities to bring in compulsory eye tests.

The call from the Association of Optometrists comes as the Department for Transport revealed seven people were killed and 63 seriously injured on Britain's roads last year due to uncorrected eyesight.
