Car fire closes M2 between Rochester and Strood

A car caught fire closing two lanes of the M2 between Rochester and Strood today.

Fire crews were called to the scene to tackled the blaze which broke out about 5pm.

Police closed two lanes of the west-bound cariageway while the fire was brought under control.

It is not known if anyone has been injured.

Delays are expected in the area.
