Car ends up on roof after flipping over in Canterbury Street, Gillingham

A car ended up on its roof this morning after a crash in the Towns.

The emergency services were called out to Canterbury Street, Gillingham, near its junction with Montgomery Road at about 10.15am.

Firefighters police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene and the road was closed while the woman was freed from her vehicle.

It is understood the woman hit a parked car and her vehicle then flipped over and luckily, she didn't suffer any serious injuries.

The road remained closed until the vehicle could be recovered.

Sally Smith, spokesman for police said: "Police were called to Canterbury Street, Gillingham at 10.12am.

"The injury suffered by the driver was described as minor.

"The road was reopened at 11.51am."
