Caravan destroyed by fire in Pond Hill, Cliffe

Arsonists are thought to be responsible for setting a caravan alight in a quiet village last night.

Firefighters from Strood were called to Pond Hill in Cliffe at about 8.50pm and found the caravan well alight.

After damping down the flames the crew used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.

The caravan, which is thought to have been abandoned, was completely destroyed by the blaze.

The crew left the scene at about 9.30pm and no one was injured.
