Stuart Tweedale charged with dangerous driving after boy knocked off bike in Scholey Close, Halling

A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a child was knocked from his bike in Halling on Thursday (August 14).

Stuart Tweedale, 52, from Scholey Close in Halling has also been charged with assault attempting to cause GBH.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Friday via a virtual court link. He was given conditional bail and will appear back at court on September 5.

Witnesses say some boys, aged 10 and 11, were riding bikes near the playing field in Scholey Close when a man mounted the kerb in his car. One boy came off his bike and was injured.

Residents called the police.

The incident, which is believed to have happened just after 6pm, is thought to be connected to an earlier argument.

Tweedale was due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday (August 15) for a remand hearing.
