Medway's biggest nightclub has begun a controversial party where "exposed cleavage" gets free entry.

Adverts for the three-day "cleavage weekender" at the Casino Rooms, Rochester (see right), prompted outrage when they featured seven large pairs of breasts.

Universities at Medway student Michelle Gleaves, 20, said: "Girls can dress how they want, that's not the issue. It's the fact you can use your cleavage to get free entry."

Following the storm, the owners of drinks brand Smirnoff Ice demanded all their branding on the poster was withdrawn.

The night continued to be promoted yesterday and began last night, though the Smirnoff logo had been removed.

Club boss Aaron Stone said he would also offer free entry to men showing their pecs, saying last week: "It is a little bit cheeky, I'm not going to apologise for that."

The club also promised to donate £1 to a breast cancer charity for every cleavage-related entry.
