Vincent Crooks, from Rochester, named as driver who died in A229 crash

A man from Rochester who died after a crash in Maidstone has been named.

Vincent Crooks died after his car, a silver VW Golf, swerved off the road and crashed into trees and a telegraph pole as he was driving towards Chatham on the A229 near the Running Horse roundabout.

The vehicle ended up on its roof in the crash, which happened at around 3.30am on Sunday, February 12. The 37-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The inquest into his death is due to be opened today at Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone.
