30 June 2014
by Jenni Horn

Police have been called to Medway Magistrates' Court following the death of a man this afternoon.

Officers were called to the building in Rope Walk, Chatham, at 2.45pm today, and are still on the scene.

A spokesman for Kent Police was unable to release any further details about the man or the circumstances of his death.

In a separate, unconnected incident shortly before, police were called to nearby Solomons Road after reports of concern for the welfare of a man.

Three patrol cars and two ambulances were on the scene just before 1pm.

The man, whose age is unknown, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.

Kent Police said the two incidents are not related.
