Emergency services called to M2 Londonbound after four car crash

Emergency services were called the scene of a four car crash on the M2, the second collision on that stretch of road today.

The pile-up happeend on the Medway Bridge, just before the Junction 2 slip road for Cuxton and Strood, on the London-bound carriageway at 6.15pm.

One lane of the motorway was closed and the exit slip road partially blocked.

Traffic was queuing back to junction three for Chatham and delays lasted several hours until nearly 9pm.

The road reopened at about 8.30pm.

This is the second crash on the M2 this evening, earlier emergency services were called to the coastbound carriageway after a silver car was involved in a crash.
