Gun Lane in Strood reopens after lorry hits railway bridge

Drivers faced delays throughout yesterday, after a lorry hit a railway bridge.

The lorry was freed and taken away by a crane yesterday evening, and the road has since re-opened.

Southeastern apologised to commuters for delays due to "poor rail conditions" caused by leaves making the tracks too slippery.

Some services were cancelled and delayed, causing overcrowding on trains.
