Police arrest suspects again after dog attack in Jenkins Dale, Chatham

Two people previously arrested by police investigating a dog attack which left a child seriously injured have been questioned again.

Toddler Victoria Resetnjova was mauled as she played in a park with her 14-year-old sister Kristina in Jenkins Dale, Chatham.

She was picked up by her head and savaged by pit bull-type dog.

Police say the 18-month-old remains in hospital with "very serious injuries" and they are continuing to support her family.

Three people were initially arrested on suspicion of offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act following the incident on April 4.

Officers tonight said a man, who was originally detained for questioning, was further arrested for supplying cannabis.

He has since been released pending further enquiries.

A teenager, who was initially arrested on the day of the dog attack, was detained on suspicion of offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

The person, whose sex has not been revealed, has also been released pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, a woman, who was originally arrested on April 5 for dangerous dog offences, answered bail today.

She was released, pending further enquiries.
