A Class Driving school car involved in head-on crash on Will Adams Way, Gillingham

Two people were taken to hospital after a mini was in a crash with a driving school car - as a learner took a lesson.

The head-on smash between the Ford Focus from A Class driving school and the black Mini happened about 4.30pm on Will Adams Way in the Gillingham Business Park.

Police and an ambulance were called, as well as a fire crew to clear up a diesel spillage.

Darren Pilcher, boss of A Class driving school, said the crash happened as a teenage driver was on a lesson.

Instructor Paul Mahoney and the driver of the Mini were both taken to hospital with their injuries.

Both cars are thought to have been written off.

The road is now clear.
