Police and fire crews called out to suspicious car blaze in Rochester Street, Chatham

Police and fire crews were called out on a suspicious car fire last night.

At 10.30pm Medway firefighters found the car blazing in an alleyway just off Rochester Street, Chatham.

One of the crew who was on the job said: "It looked as though the car had been driven down the alleyway, dumped there, and set alight.

"We called the police and they are investigating."

Crews took 30 minutes putting the fire out.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.
