A Medway man who changed his name by deed poll to Elusive Matrix attacked two men in two days, a court heard.

The 43-year-old, who has a history of violence, pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm to Michael Ormond on April 13 when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.

He denied a more serious charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and this was accepted by the Crown.

Defence counsel Keith Middleton told the court Matrix assaulted another man on April 11.

He pleaded guilty to that offence when he appeared before Medway magistrates last week and they committed the case to the crown court for sentence.

The court heard Matrix, who changed his name from Mark Naulis, has previous convictions for making threats to kill, threatening behaviour, outraging public decency, common assault and a firearm offence.

At the crown court hearing Judge Philip Statman adjourned all matters for reports and remanded Matrix in custody until October 14.
