Fire crews tackle two car blazes in Cooling and the M2

Firefighters tackled two car blazes last night.

A crew was called to Cooling Road, near Cooling Castle at 6.40pm.

The car was well alight when they got there. The driver had already got out of the vehicle before it burst into flames.

Firefighters were then called to the M2 coastbound at 10.30pm to another car blaze just off of the Medway motorway bridge, between junctions 2 and 3.

Two people had escaped before the car caught fire.

Nobody is reported to be hurt in the incidents.

The police were also on the scene to help with traffic control.
