She added: “Over the years I have performed quite few open air gigs, here and abroad, the atmosphere is electric so I am really excited about coming.

“I’ve been not long come off tour as I was supporting Michael Bolton and have now got the taste for it again as its such fun.

Although she’s lived in the capital most of her life, she has never been to Rochester but said is looking forward to exploring the historic town.

She added: “I will be checking it out and getting my camera out and taking lots of pictures.”

The star who is currently working on new material, will not let her fans down and will be performing all her old hits.

She added: “People want to hear the old stuff, as much as I have new stuff and like to mix it up, I never walk away without performing those sorts of songs.

"Out of Reach, Dreams, Rise, Sunshine, definitely people will be able to sing along to those songs and hopefully hum along to the ones they don’t know.

“It would not be a Gabrielle show if I didn’t sing that stuff.”

“Everyone tries to pigeonhole me into the soul thing, but the newer stuff, it’s still kind of pop and a bit soulful in parts, but it’s just soulful Gabrielle, it’s just Gabrille, that’s my style.”

“I’m grateful people like my style and I hope people will come to the show to have fun.”
