Up to 3,000 people will be running, jogging and walking through the streets of Rochester tonight (Friday), in the Medway Mile.

The annual fun run, first launched in 2007 in the countdown to the London Olympics, will start with a mass warm up in the Castle Gardens.

kmfm breakfast DJ Rob Wills will be compere for the evening, which starts from 5pm and includes children’s races, martial arts, a firework display and a hog roast.

All participant get a free t-shirt at the event, which is arranged by Medway Council and supported by the Messenger and Southern Water.
