Gillingham masked mugger punches woman in alleyway near Woodlands Road before stealing handbag

A woman has been punched in the face by a masked mugger who stole her handbag in Gillingham.

She was targeted in a daylight attack as she walked in an alleyway next to the railway track near Woodlands Road.

The robber punched her in the face before grabbing her bag and running off towards Woodlands Road at about 9.30am on Tuesday.

The attacker is described as a tanned man, 5ft 6/7in, of medium build and with brown eyes.

He was wearing a blue hoodie with a zip at the front, jeans or tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and a black scarf across his face.
