Ellie Rose Eames, from High Halstow, dances on stage with Justin Bieber

Ellie Rose Eames lived the dream of most schoolgirls when she danced alongside Justin Bieber at the O2 arena.

But the modest youngster did not tell her friends at High Halstow Primary of her stage debut with the global superstar.

Ellie Rose was selected after the Goodman Dance Academy sent the Canadian singer’s agent a video of her street dance moves.

Mum Lorraine, 42, who is married to Paul, 48, said: “She was thrown in at the deep end. The choreographer showed her just once and she was on stage within minutes.”

Lorraine, who is also mum to Kenny, 13, and Ronnie, 20, continued: “Like most girls of her age, she’s a Bieber fan. To perform next to an iconic pop star with 25,000 flashing their phones at you is something she will never forget. She came off stage and said that was ‘pretty awesome’.

“But Ellie Rose is pretty grounded. She’s streetwise and but still a little girl at heart.”

Ellie Rose showed signs of a showbiz career when she was just three, dancing around the family home. Following in the footsteps of mum Lorraine, she joined a dance school learning tap, jazz and ballet and soon landed a part in panto in Bromley.

She then trod the boards in the West End appearing in Billy Elliot and Matilda and was cast in the Watson and Holmes film with Will Ferrell.

Now, the multi-talented performer has set her sights further afield – Hollywood.

In September, Ellie Rose, of Cardigan Close, High Halstow, starts full-time at the Italia Conti stage school in London after winning a scholarship.

Lorraine, who also went to the school as a child, said: “She would really like to go into films in a bigger way. She talks about making it in Hollywood.”

Lorraine added that all the family are proud of her including gran Marlyn Carter, 65, who takes her to gigs and workshops.

She said: “She still is the baby of the family.”

Ellie Rose said of her appearance with Bieber: “I was really shocked to see so many people. I was more excited than nervous.

"After our routine he thanked me and the other dancers and gave us a hug and high-five. I didn’t tell my friends at school, because that’s just not like me. But they found out in the end and went a bit crazy.”
