Command of the Oceans building misses out on RIBA Stirling Prize

One of Kent’s most historic buildings has narrowly missed out on a national award.

The Command of the Oceans building at Chatham’s Historic Dockyard was one of only six structures in the UK to be nominated for the Royal Institute of British Architects Stirling Prize.

It is the UK's most coveted architectural award and recognises a building’s design, originality and ability to "stimulate and engage".
