Kent-born singer Lee Ryan is an early favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother.

The Blue member, from Chatham, is one of 12 new celebrities in the 13th series, which started on Friday.

More than three million people watched the opening show and Lee was the early favourite to win.

He was joined by 11 other celebrities, including controversial Daily Mail journalist Liz Jones, N-Dubz star Dappy and comic Jim Davidson.

The show continues on Channel 5 at 9pm today.

Meanwhile, Higham-based comedian Joe Pasquale has been kicked off the final series of Dancing on Ice.

The 52-year-old lost the skate-off to former Doctor Who assistant Bonnie Langford as the show returned to our screens last night.

Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter has also left after coming bottom in the public vote.
