A boat out in the Medway Estuary had to be towed back to shore after it suffered engine failure near the Isle of Grain.
Medway Coastguard received a call from the vessel Bluebird at about 5.45pm yesterday to say there were three people onboard and that the craft had suffered engine failure.
The boat was stranded near to Elphinstone Point on the Isle of Grain in the River Medway and the Sheerness RNLI Inshore Lifeboat crew were sent out to help the vessel.
The crew towed it to Kingsferry Bridge where the Sheppey Coast Rescue Team met the boat and gave safety advice to the people onboard.
