Rush hour drivers faced long queues after a crash involving a car and a lorry on the M2.

The accident happened on the coast-bound side between junction 4 for Gillingham and 5 for Sittingbourne and Maidstone.

One lane was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but reopened just before 5.30pm.

However, lengthy delays remained, with Highways England reporting queues of more than two miles, until 7pm.
