Police have arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a crash near the Medway Tunnel this morning.

The incident happened at 5.44am and one witness said he saw a car on it's roof.

One lane of the tunnel has been closed to traffic heading toward Strood while the vehicle is recovered.

Officers and paramedics are at the scene but the injuries are only thought to be minor.
