Man charged with four driving offences after police chase in Chatham

A man has been charged with four driving offences after a police chase in Chatham on Friday afternoon.

Krystian Basciuk, 18, of Albany Road in Chatham, was charged with failing to stop for police, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance and dangerous driving.

He was remanded to Medway Magistrates' Court this morning (Saturday).

Basciuk was arrested at just before 1pm in Third Avenue, Chatham on Friday after failing to stop for police in Walderslade.

The vehicle was found in Second Avenue, Chatham.

A police helicopter was helping officers search for a second man alleged to have abandoned the vehicle, but Kent Police have not provided an update.
