A man is in custody after being charged with robbery and possessing both a knife and a quantity of cannabis.

Dwayne Harris, 33, of Wooderson Close in South Norwood, was arrested by police on Friday morning after a robbery at a shop in Rochester.

Police were called to the One Stop Shop in Beatty Road, off City Way, just after 6.30am.

A police spokesman said that no-body is believed to have been hurt during the incident.

Harris will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday).
