Man charged after burglary stabbing in Gardiner Street, Gillingham

A teenager has been charged after a burglary in which a man was stabbed.

Police were called to Gardiner Street, Gillingham, just after 4.30am on Sunday, after a man was found with stab wounds and taken to a London Hospital.

A woman was also subsequently found injured at a property in Skinner Street, but did not require hospital treatment and received support from medical crews at the scene.

Filmon Tsegay, 19, from Ingram Road in Gillingham, was arrested on the same day and has since been charged with aggravated burglary with intent.

He was due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.

The injured man has since been discharged.

Detectives are continuing to make enquiries and are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information that is yet to speak with them.
