Nicholas Noble, from Strood, charged with robbery after raid at Co-op store in Twydall Green

Officers investigating a robbery at a shop in Gillingham have charged a man.

Nicholas Noble, 37, has been charged with robbery after a raid at the Co-op store in Twydall Green, Gillingham in January.

The incident happened at the store at 10.25pm on Wednesday, January 17, when two men were reported to have forced their way into the shop just after closing time.

A staff member who tried to stop the men entering the shop was apparently punched in the face several times before the men left with cash.

Noble, who is of no fixed address but from the Strood area, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court last Friday, February 9, where he was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, March 8.
