A man arrested and bailed after a robbery in Hoo has now been charged with the offence.
Andrew Holmes, 32, was arrested after staff were allegedly threatened and forced to hand over cash during a robbery at Coral bookmakers in The Parade, Hoo, on Friday, June 27.
Holmes, of Parsonage Lane, Strood, was initially bailed until Thursday, August 28, but was rearrested on July 18 and charged with robbery and driving while disqualified.
At the time of the incident, police investigating it issued a CCTV image of a man they were looking for in connection with the incident.
Holmes appeared before magistrates in Medway on Saturday, July 19 and they sent the case to Maidstone Crown Court.
Holmes was granted bail until his next court appearance which will be on Friday, August 8.
