Alex Ede, from Chatham, charged with spitting at officers at Medway police station

A man has been charged with six offences after he allegedly spat at police officers and a paramedic.

Alex Ede, 28, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent after allegedly committing the offences at Medway Police Station in Gillingham.

Ede, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, is accused of committing the offences after being arrested in Ordanance Street, Chatham, for an unrelated matter on Friday, March 16.

He appeared before magistrates in Medway today and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, April 16.
