Man cut out of car and taken to hospital after crash in Eastcourt Lane, Gillingham

A man was cut out of his car and taken to hospital after a crash with a bus in Gillingham.

Police were called to the junction of Eastcourt Lane and Beechings Way at 10.30am after the collision.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car and the man was moved onto a spinal board before being passed into the care of paramedics.

The man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital but he is not thought to be seriously injured.

The road was initially closed after the crash but reopened around noon.
