Police officers attended and the man was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, with no arrests yet made.
Fire crews were called to the scene about an hour later when the vehicle burst into flames due to damage sustained in the crash, leaving it mostly destroyed.
One engine was needed to put out the flames, which took about half an hour.
