Copperfield Park in Rochester closed by police after suspicious activity

A park was closed by police after reports of two men acting suspiciously.

Locals took to social media after spotting a heavy police presence in Copperfield Park in Rochester.

Sniffer dogs were also reportedly at the scene.

Officers have now left the area, off Breton Road.

Police spokesman Jordan Bluer said: "Kent Police attended The Tideway area of Rochester on the morning of Wednesday March 21 following reports of two men acting suspiciously.

"Officers carried out a search of the area. No arrests have been made."

Enquiries are ongoing.
