Pervert sought after dropping shorts on number 700 bus from Chatham to Greenhithe and committing sex act

A pervert is being sought by police after he lowered his shorts, pulled up his t-shirt and committed an indecent act on a bus.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident on board a bus heading from Chatham bus station to Greenhithe.

Two women travelling on the vehicle saw the man acting indecently and reported the matter to police.

Police say it happened on the 700 bus on Friday, August 22, between 12.35pm and 12.50pm, but details have only just been released.

The bus was heading for the Bluewater shopping centre.

Officers say the man got on the bus at Chatham bus station at 12.35pm and was a slim white man, wearing a blue beanie hat, red or pink shorts and a white T-shirt.

He carried a black rucksack and sat on the upper deck behind a lone woman and was spotted performing a sex act at about 12.45pm by two women who sat together on the upper deck.

They saw the man get up from his seat to sit down behind them. It was at this point the women realised what he was doing.

PC Darran Gurr, investigating, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to come forward so we can build a complete picture of the circumstances around this incident.

“I believe there was a group of boys on the bus and another woman sitting behind the man who may have witnessed what happened and I’d particularly like them to contact me on
