Cordelia Harding, 12, plays Alice in Medway Little Theatre's Alice in Wonderland in Rochester

A bewildering array of talking animals, unusual people and animated playing cards will greet Cordelia Harding tonight when she takes to the stage in Alice in Wonderland.

The 12-year-old who goes to Rochester Grammar School is playing the lead role in Medway Little Theatre’s production of Lewis Carroll’s magical story which has been adapted for the stage by Bob Cooke.

See her dancing with a dodo, conversing with a caterpillar, partying with a Mad Hatter, tangling with the Tweedles, Dum and Dee and, oddest of all, shrinking to the size of a White Rabbit every time she takes a sip from a strange bottle.
