Police appeal after man stabbed in Vicarage Road, Strood

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed yesterday evening.

The assault happened in Vicarage Road, Strood at 8.50pm.

It is reported that a 59-year-old man had been assaulted by a group of three people after they had caused criminal damage to his window of his property. They then headed towards Grove Road.

He was taken to a London hospital and is in a serious condition.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Steven Brown said: “From our initial inquiries we believe that there are three suspects, all of which were wearing dark clothing. One of them is thought to have blonde hair.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone matching these descriptions in that area.”
