Car crashes into a ditch on Ratcliffe Highway, Allhallows

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash in Allhallows.

A car left the road and went into a ditch on the Ratcliffe Highway at about 10am.

Michael Davies, a local resident, heard the emergency services arrive and said he saw two ambulances and four police cars at the scene earlier.

He said: “We live on the bend and heard quite a lot of activity this morning.

“I’ve been told someone came round the bend heading to Strood and he slid into the ditch.

“That bend is so dangerous, something needs to be done.”

Steve Knight, spokesman for Kent police, said:"We werecalled at 9.59am following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the Ratcliffe Highway.

"Officers attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with an injury to his leg."
