Police called to Gillignham after man seen with 'offensive weapon'

Gillingham High Street was searched by Kent Police today after reports of a man with a weapon. 

Officers were called at 11.02am to deal with a disturbance.

They later arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. 

He remains in police custody.
